David was the co-founder in 1986 of Baker and Associates (now Bakerag). He has worked in the Wairarapa as a Farm Consultant and Valuer since 1969 and is now retired from BakerAg as a fulltime consultant. David works part time servicing his longstanding clients and undertaking work that can utilise his skills and experience. (Leasing and litigation).  He is also involved as Trustee or executor for a number of farming family clients and sits in court as a Judicial Justice of the Peace. Past experience includes company directorships and he has had a number of government appointments.
